Abdulhamid made eight appearances and scored one goal for Roma after joining the club in January from Saudi Pro League team Al-Hilal.

The defender's move to Lens also includes a buy-back option for Roma, allowing the club to reacquire his services in the future.

Abdulhamid, 26, was also considered by Toulouse before the agreement with Lens was reached.
