In an interview during the team's preseason training camp in England, de Gea expressed his happiness with his decision to join Fiorentina.

"I signed a three-year contract, which shows how happy I am to be part of the team," he said. "I enjoy the fans, my teammates, and the city, which is wonderful. I'm looking forward to a great season with Fiorentina."

De Gea also appreciated the benefits of joining the team early in the transfer window, allowing him to get to know his teammates well.

"It's great to train with the same players every day," he said. "The weather here is perfect for training, and I'm feeling comfortable and happy."

Fiorentina will soon face de Gea's former club Manchester United in a friendly match.
