Arteta was asked about Eberechi Eze, who is set to take his medical this week. Arteta replied, "Nothing to comment. I can never talk about any player that is not part of our group yet."
The conversation then shifted to Kai Havertz's injury, which is believed to be the reason for Eze's return to the Gunners. Arteta stated, "We don't really know the extent of it. We need a bit more time and some more tests and after that we will have some more clarity."
Arteta emphasized the importance of players wanting to join Arsenal, saying, "That's the number one, that they want to be with us and feel something special to come to us."
He also highlighted the advantage of having players who have grown up supporting the club, saying, "The better the feeling, the stronger the feeling then the better always because it brings a different edge, will and emotion to what you do and I think that always brings something extra."
Arteta expressed confidence in new signing Viktor Gyokeres, stating, "He is. He is very enthusiastic. He has trained really well this week again."
Finally, Arteta spoke about the impact of new sporting director Andrea Berta, saying, "He is very professional, thorough, determined and he brings something different to the table so I really enjoy working with him."
