Chalobah noted that Chelsea needed to make the most of their early momentum after scoring the first goal at home, but ultimately failed to convert their chances into a win.
"We knew what to expect from Sunderland, a team with a strong team spirit," Chalobah said. "They showed that by disrupting our game plan and making it difficult for us to create scoring opportunities."
Despite having chances in both halves, Chelsea ultimately faltered and conceded a goal, which proved costly.
Chalobah acknowledged that the team's performance was not their best, but believes they can learn from the experience and improve for their next match.
He emphasized the importance of consistency and adapting to different game situations, particularly when facing teams that park the bus and try to disrupt Chelsea's attacking rhythm.
Chalobah believes that these kinds of challenges are inevitable in the Premier League and that Chelsea must work hard to overcome them and achieve consistency in their performances.
