Former Brighton manager Graham Potter also had a stint at Chelsea.

Additionally, Chelsea's co-sporting directors, Paul Winstanley and Lawrence Stewart, previously worked at Brighton before moving to Chelsea.

Weir will work with Chelsea loaned players Kendry Paez, Mike Penders, and Mamadou Sarr, as well as Emanuel Emegha, who recently signed with Chelsea.
