Nasri has stated that he is used to receiving insults from fans, but the personal nature of the abuse, including insults directed at his mother, was what bothered him the most.
He has chosen not to attend the final, citing that it would be better to have commentators who have a stronger connection to one of the teams. Robert Pires, a former Arsenal player, and David Ginola, a former PSG player, have been brought in to provide commentary instead.
Nasri's decision has been made in light of his own experiences as a player and his desire to maintain a neutral perspective in his punditry role.
Both Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal have made it to the final after impressive victories in the semi-finals. PSG defeated Bayern Munich 6-5 on aggregate, while Arsenal won 2-1 against Atlético Madrid.
