Two other players, Conor Gallagher from Atletico Madrid and Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa, have also been left out. Watkins has returned to England due to a minor injury. It is still unclear whether Saka will be part of the team for the friendly match against Senegal next week.
Saka has not had the opportunity to play under the new England coach, Thomas Tuchel.
